Join us at The Depot for opening night of the 2026 Puterbaugh Lit Fest, featuring writer, performance poet, and translator Haleh Liza Gafori. She will read from and sign copies of her latest best-selling translation, Water by Rumi (NYRB, 2025). Books will be provided by Green Feather Books, Norman’s beloved independent bookstore.
During the reception, Daniel Simon, WLT’s editor in chief, will announce the winners of the 2026 OU Student Translation Prize contest.
The 2026 festival is co-sponsored by World Literature Today, the Farzaneh Family Center for Iranian & Persian Gulf Studies, the OU School of Music, The Depot, and the Norman Arts Council.
