German Culture, Politics, and the Refugee Crisis – A Lunch and Roundtable

OU professors Ana Bracic (Political Science), Jill Irvine (Women’s & Gender Studies), Carsten Schapkow (History), and Jason Williamson (Modern Languages) discuss Erpenbeck’s novel Go, Went, Gone, which has been described as “a scathing indictment of Western policy toward the European refugee crisis.” Moderated by Janet Ward, followed by Q&A with the audience.

Lunch provided, but advance registration is required—RSVP window has now closed.

On March 8, attendees are encouraged to arrive by 11:30 if they would like to eat before the panel. Parking is available in the Jenkins Avenue parking facility behind Headington.

Co-sponsored by the EU Center, OU Humanities Forum, the Schusterman Center for Judaic & Israel Studies, and Headington College
